The global environmental protection and the regulation for the use of chemical materials that adverse affect on human body have been in growing demand in recent years. As you may know RoHS directive was officially proclaimed within EU (European Union) member states in February 2003 and enforced in July 2006 as domestic laws, with the aim to abolish or reduce the use of heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chrome and bromic fire retardants such as PBB and PBDE in electrical and electronic equipment. Therefore, after the date of enforcement, it will not be allowed to export all the electrical and electronic equipment that contain the materials mentioned above in European countries. In order to supply green products and meet the new regulation, TAIYO is going to make all the products comply with RoHS directive based on our own environment policy and preparing itself for the changes.

In order to meet RoHS enforcement in July 2006, environmentally harmful components will be gradually replaced by RoHS-compliant components on a part-by-part basis. Where possible, we understand that it is best if we could ask our customers approval before changing components part. We highly appreciate your understanding and co-operation for the change.
